Staska has an entertaining and inspirational post titled So, you have a brand new (make money blogging/online) blog?
In the post some potential 2009 Google whores are mentioned. Here they are, many were new to me:
Mark, Dave & Jay, Empress, Kumiko, Brendan, Rene, Chee, Jake&Kelly, Jake, Mitch, Mike, Nate
When I told my girlfriend I was mentioned as a potential Google Whore for 2009 it took a bunch of explaining that the label would be a good thing.
The Google Whore in this context is a reference to John Chow’s post where Google Whore is another term for the “biggest Google AdSense publishers”
In that light I wouldn’t mind earning the title ;-)
I’d also like to see Darren respond to the post which questions some of his tactics used to earn his money.
For instance this is one of Darren’s sites, which I would call a Splog
http://www.breakingnewsblog.com/personalfinance/
I’m not against splogs, I just can’t remember any of his advice for building your Problogging career included splogs. Darren?
And of course you don’t need to look far to see me making some “creative content” to add to the search engines, I recommend you do to. I’ve learned quite a bunch from getting creative with remixing content.
But I’ve been open and posted about most of my adventures here (for instance my latest “creative content creation” has earned me $58 dollars to date and which I discussed openly), I’d be curious to see what Darren has to say about his “creative content” or how splogs fit into your blogging portfolio ;-)
Should I start some splogs here? Should you start some splogs today? Problogger is doing it right? Do as I do, not as I say!
Thanks Staska for the mention and everybody stop by and have an enjoyable read yourself So, you have a brand new (make money blogging/online) blog?
Update I emailed Darren asking how “automated” blogs fit into somebody’s blogging portfolio and suggested it would be a good post for Problogger.net or at least worth a comment here.
