Here’s something cool I’d like to get: Google Advertising Certification.

the Google Advertising Professionals program can help you become a more successful ad manager – for free.

A few websites I visit have the badge that they are an adwords certified pro but i hadn’t given it two thoughts until today. Then I thought, “hey, that’s a cool certification that i’d like to study for!” So i am.

Google Adwords Certification Requirements

You need to complete the adwords test, taken through a third party that costs $50.

You also need to Build and maintain at least US$1,000 (or your local currency equivalent) total spend during the 90-day period that you take the exam.

The Adwords Learning Center

This is worth your visit today if you haven’t seen it: Adwords Learning Center.

They have text and video tutorials on using adwords. The first video or two are real boring but then they jump right into showing how you can be in spot 2 paying more than someone in spot 1. Interesting stuff.

Why Get Adwords Certified?

Different strokes for different folks of course. For me it’s a good reason to study the adwords manual ;)

If you do consulting or manage accounts for other’s it could also be a good badge to show off.
