Of course you can use Seo AND PPC to make money online at the same time, however when i see people recommend someone make money online they usually say one or the other, but hardly ever discuss a technique to capitalize on both together.

So let’s break down choosing one or the other: Seo or PPC For Making Money Online?

PPC

PPC stands for Pay Per Click and is when you pay for traffic. You can turn on traffic almost instantly, rank at the top of the search engine almost instantly, and you can measure down to the penny your ROI.

PPC is really awesome and if you have some capital to start with for sure is the way to go.

However if you don’t have much money it gets expensive very fast.

SEO

Seo is search engine optimization and is done by trying to get your content to rank high in the search engines.

The major advantage of SEO is it’s free.

Other than that it’s lame because it takes a long time (for your ranking to stabilize and become reliable) and it’s difficult to measure ROI (because you do work making changes today but might not see the results for awhile and you’re never sure what change helped your seo exactly).

The Verdict

PPC - If you have some money to start, want quick answers to whether or not your ideas work, want easily measured roi, and want to make money sooner than later.

SEO - If you are broke and have a very long time.

If I had to start over again

I would have spent 10000% more time learning ppc and less time blogging/seo/linkbait type of stuff.

I would also have used the data from my PPC to build good content pages for Seo based on ppc stats.
