Something that your competitors are probably doing, or at least other people are doing it is snail mail marketing.

Snail mail is the regular mail that you put a stamp on it. Many bloggers are utilizing snail mail to get the attention of other bloggers in their niche.

Every single time I get snail mail from a blogger it gets my attention.

Today I recieved fortune cookies from QualityNonsense.

Marketleverage has been getting bunches of mentions lately for doing their snail mail marketing really well.

Some people send tshirts, like ZacJohnson does. Others send $5 gift cards for Starbucks, and some just send cards.

Whichever way you slice it, people still exist in the real world and you can get their attention that way. I’m reminded this every time I get something in the mail that I’m missing this opportunity.

I’m planning on making a DVD one of these days shortly and I think it will be my first snail mail campaign. To randomly grab some names from the Make Money Online bloggers and send them some free copies.

So just a reminder to myself, and you if you want it, get your snail mails out there also when promoting yourself or something.
